God so loves you that He sent His only Son to die on a cruel cross in your place. If you believe this and you want to receive the free gift of eternal life, just tell Him this in prayer and God will give you the faith and grace to believe in His Son and become a child of His.
"He who believes in the Son has eternal life; but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him." John 3:36

God Loves A Seeking Heart.

People from all backgrounds and walks of life visit this website. I have no way of knowing who reads these words. I do not know if the one who is reading this right now is a man or a woman. I do not if you are black, white, yellow or brown. I do not know if you are a Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or someone who believes in no deity at all. I do not know what country your are from or what languages you might read, write and speak. But I know that if you are reading this and you understand the words, you are able to read English.

Though there are many things I don't know about you, I believe there are some things that I do know about you. I believe that you want to be loved. I believe you want to love others. I believe you want to know there is a real purpose in life. I believe you want to be happy and secure. And when this journey called life comes to an end at deaths door, I believe that you would prefer that whatever is on the other side be better than what is over here.

If your response to any of the statements above is "Yes", then I have great news for you, my friend! Being truly loved and truly loving someone else, having real purpose, being happy, content, and secure can all be found in a personal relationship with God. You can know Him! But what is even better is that God wants you to know Him. In fact, He so wants a relationship with you that He has provided the way for you to come into a personal relationship with Him.

However, all of mankind has a problem in developing a relationship with the true God of the Universe. Why is that? Well, primarily it is because the life that we have chosen for ourselves is not the life that God would have chosen for us to live. God knows what is best for us and He wants to give His best to us. But we love the world and the things in the world and because of that we don't want God or anyone else telling us how to live.

Therefore, because of the choices we make in life, we are sinful, unrighteous, repulsive people when compared with the pure, wholesome, untainted, perfectly righteous and Holy God. Think about this for a moment! God is perfectly holy, righteous, just and fair, and because these qualities, He can not have anything to do with sin, nor can He have a relationship with sinful people. Yet! Because He wants a relationship with each of us, He has provided a way that we might have relationship with Him. How did He do that? He took His one and only Son, Jesus Christ, who was perfectly free from sin, and let Him be put on a cross by people who hated Him because of the things He taught and who He said He was. But Jesus did not just die from the horrible death of crucifixion. While His sin free, perfect Son was anguishing on that cross, God took the sins, past, present and future, of all mankind, who had ever lived or would ever live, and He piled those sins upon His Son. God piled and pressed those sins down upon His Son until a supernatural fusion took place and His Son's body was fused with the sins of the whole world and He became those sins. The Bible says, "For He [God] made Him [Jesus] who knew no sin to be[become] sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him," (2 Cor. 5:21).

Though the Roman soldiers beat Jesus with a crude, lead embedded leather thong, tearing his flesh horribly and then drove a spear into his side causing the blood in his upper body to pour out into the dirt around the cross this is not what killed Him. It was the sins of the world that killed the Son of God while on the cross. And God put His stamp of approval upon the death of His Son and He accepted His perfect Son's death as payment for the sins of every person who has ever lived or will ever live. You see the bible says that all of us have sinned and are worthy of death. But, since the sinless God man, Jesus Christ, died an innocence being, God applied His death to our sin debt. This provided the way for sinful men to come into the presence of Almighty God, covered as it were, by the blood of Jesus Christ, shed there on the cross.

The way has been made through which God can now accept sinful people into His presence and have relationship with them. That relationship will result in the perfect plan for your life, the plan made by the One who created you, who knows you best and loves you most.

The first thing a person who wants to have a relationship with God must do is come to an understanding of who Jesus is and why He came to earth. What better way to do that than to read what the Bible says.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

From this verse we learn: 1). That God truly loves the people of the world. 2). that Jesus is the Son of God and that He was given by His father, God, so that the people of the world might not perish (spend eternity in hell separated from Him), and 3). instead of people spending eternity in hell apart from God, they can have life eternal - meaning spending eternity in heaven with Him. Please note that God requires one thing and one thing only of anyone. They must believe in Jesus Christ.

"For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:17

From this verse we learn that God does not want to condemn anyone in the world to eternity in hell and separated from Him. Instead, He sent His Son that the people in the world might be saved from hell and eternal separation from Him.

We also learn from this next verse that we have a choice in whether: we believe and are not condemned to hell, or we refuse to believe and we condemn ourselves to hell.

"He who believes in Him [Christ Jesus] is not condemned; but he who does not believe [in Him] is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3:18

From this verse we also learn that whoever believes in Jesus Christ is not condemned to hell, but the one who does not exercise belief in Jesus is said to be condemned already because of that unbelief.

Jesus said in John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

From this verse we understand that He is the way in which sinful man may come into an eternal relationship with God Almighty. We learn that He is in truth the Son of God as stated in John 3:16. We also learn that He is the source of true life which is life spent with He and the Father and the Holy Spirit through all eternity. But read what He says about Himself and the Father in John 10:30: "I and My Father are one."...and John 17:21: "that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me."
He is saying that He and God The Father are one and they have developed this plan for a new life just for you.

An honest person, through a simple cursory reading of the New Testament, will recognize, that according to the Bible, they are a sinner. Romans 3:23 says we all have sinned and fallen short of God's standard of holiness. Romans 3:10 says that there is no one without sin. In other words, we all make mistakes. We sin daily against God. We blow it...and have since early childhood. We will also understand that our sin has consequences. Romans 6:23 tells us that the wages [consequences] of sin is death - physical and eternal. "For the wages of sin is death..." It also promises that the gift of God is eternal life. This means escaping the eternal consequences of sin and spending eternal life with God. In other words, Jesus Christ went to the cross for you...and for me...to make the payment for sin that you and I should have made. He took our place! What a great love! Romans 5:8 describes that love in this way, "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us".

Romans three also says, "But now [through Christ's death on the cross] the righteousness of God ....is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, .....through faith in Jesus Christ, to all and on all who believe....;" verses 3:21&22. In this passage of scripture, Paul the apostle, one of the great writers of the New Testament is saying, "since Christ died on that cross, paying the penalty for the sins of all men everywhere, God's righteousness is being given to all men who believe in Jesus Christ through faith." Then he continues, "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, but now they are being justified freely by God's grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus," verse 23 and 24. Paul is saying that the moment the guilty sinner believes, God sees the blood of His Son as a covering for that saved sinner and he declares the new believer not guilty, pardoned, free of the penalty of sin.

Again Paul continues, "It was Jesus Christ God's Son that God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness. Because in His forbearance God has passed over the sins that were previously committed [and that will be committed in the future] to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He [God] might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus," verses 3:24-26. The blood of Jesus Christ, the innocent man and God, is said to be propitious - meaning that God is satisfied that every sinner for all time and eternity who believes in His Son has been cleansed and is acceptable to come into His Holy presence.

If you would like to receive God's free gift of eternal life and be adopted into God's forever family you must understand that you can't merit any of His gifts by being good enough. Nor can you earn them by doing good things. For along with an understanding of who Jesus is, it is equally important to understand that it is only by God's grace that men and women are given this free gift of eternal life. In fact, the bible says this about ones salvation: "For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast," (Eph 2:8-9).

The moment one believes he or she becomes the recipient of an infinite number of blessings through God's grace. Of the greatest importance is the very first gift of God's grace the instant one believes. God gives the new believer His Holy Spirit who comes into that new believer, takes up residence and abides there through out the believers life on earth. Through this work of God in our lives we become a new creation in Christ by being immediately baptized by the Holy Spirit into the Lord Jesus. As we begin to walk in faith, we are walking in the Spirit and as long as we live in obedience to God's will we are living in fellowship with Him. However, now when we sin as a believer, we have Jesus Christ who resides in heaven at the right hand of God the Father as an advocate or intercessor. And we only need to confess our sin to God and we will instantly be forgiven that sin. If we continue in sin without confessing, our fellowship with God will be interrupted. The reality is, the new creation in us, our spirit, longs to be in fellowship with God every moment of the day. Therefore, when we sin the Holy Spirit will convict us of our sin and we will become miserable, unhappy and discouraged until we confess and forsake our sin and once again enjoy fellowship with our heavenly Father.

When we are living in obedience to God's will, the scripture says we are walking in the Spirit, meaning we are living under the control of the Holy Spirit. It is in these times that the Holy Spirit will lead us into all spiritual truth and understanding. He does this through our prayers and the careful, thorough study of the God's Word, especially the New Testament epistles which are those books outside the four gospels. These were written specifically for believers and it is where we will find most of the teachings on the riches of God's grace through Christ Jesus.

If you have not expressed belief in the Son of God for salvation you can do so right now. If you believe in your heart that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died on the cross for the sins of the world and that He rose again and is now at the right hand of God the Father in heaven where He serves as Advocate and Intercessor for Believers then all you need to do is confess that belief to God in prayer. Talk to him right where you are. He is waiting and listening to hear Your voice. He loves you infinitely and wants to bless you with His innumerable blessings of grace.

If you have talked to God and told Him that you believe these things: 1). that Jesus Christ is His Son; 2). that Jesus died for you on the cross; 3) that Jesus came out of that grave and ascended to heaven where He is right now at the right hand of God the Father serving as your advocate then you have already received the free gift of salvation. You have eternal life, you have the Holy Spirit living in you right now. There is no one or no thing that can now separate You from the love of God now that you belong to Him.
